OceanaGold plans to extend its mining operations at Waihi, site of the historic Martha mine.
OceanaGold’s Waihi North mine project in the Coromandel has received draft approval from a fast-track consenting panel.
The project involves an underground mine at Wharekirauponga, a new open pit next to the company’s existing Waihi processing plant and a new tailings dam.
