One Fonterra plant closes, another opens
UPDATE: Share price rises as leadership outlines positive future
Fonterra has told staff at its Kapiti cheese plant in Paraparaumu it plans to close the factory and shift production to its site at Eltham in Taranaki.
Chief executive Miles Hurrell said the closure would affect 70 employees but about 30 new jobs would be created at Eltham.
