Ruapehu Life Pass Holders asked to pay up to keep ski-fields open
Ruapehu Alpine Lifts’ biggest creditors agreed to deal if Life Pass Holders pay their share.
Mt Ruapehu provides the only skiing in the North Island.
Ruapehu’s 14,500 life pass holders have been sent a letter asking them to indicate their willingness to pay $2500 towards a new entity that would allow the continued operation of the Whakapapa and Tūroa skifields and the Sky Waka Gondola.
