Synlait announces proposal to axe 150 jobs
Milk processor to consult with staff and unions over next two weeks.
Canterbury-based milk processor Synlait has announced proposed redundancies to cut its staff by 15%, implying about 150 job losses.
In May, Synlait said it expected to make a loss for the year to July of $20-$30 million and had been granted a waiver on banking covenants for the year.
