Whakatane finance company snapped up by UK's Blackstar

A regional finance brokerage has been acquired by the UK’s Blackstar Capital Group.
Whakatane-based Asset Finance, with 16 mainly North Island branches, has been snapped up by trade finance firm Blackstar, which increased its stake from 7% (purchased last year) to 70%.
