Mr Yan's Campbell Park venture promises educational and tourist-related ventures.
The new owner of Campbell Park Estate in the Waitaki Valley near Oamaru is one of the directors of the collapsed Mainzeal group.
The acquisition vehicle was reported in some news outlets as a company related to NZHouseChina.
