New Zealand’s largest flooring retailer, Carpet Court, has appointed Adrienne Roberts to the role of Chief Financial Officer.
As a chartered accountant with over 12 years of local and international experience, Adrienne started her finance career in the information technology and telecommunications industries, before moving into the consumer goods sector.
Prior to joining Carpet Court, Adrienne was CFO of Veritas Investments, the listed investment parent company of Nosh and The Mad Butcher, as well as the CFO for The Better Drinks Co (formerly Charlie’s Group) from 2009-2014. She’s also held a variety of senior financial and accounting roles for other large businesses including Treasury Wine Estates, Fosters and Vitaco Health – to name a few.
Adrienne has worked for several listed companies and private equity ownership firms, which means she has developed a diverse skillset, putting her in good stead for the CFO role.
Rob Smith, CEO of Carpet Court, said that Adrienne stood out as a candidate due to her impressive financial experience, and her natural ability to translate financial performance into leadership.
“Adrienne brings a strong track record as a successful CFO and will assist in developing a more robust and timely financial reporting structure. I am excited to welcome her to the business, and look forward to utilising her skills and experience in the Carpet Court business,” says Rob.
Adrienne says, “I am thrilled to be joining Rob and the team at Carpet Court. Carpet Court is such a strong New Zealand brand and the opportunities to help grow the business are very exciting.”
Adrienne formally starts at Carpet Court on Monday 23rd November 2015.
