After 15 years as a director of the company, Robert Challinor is to retire from The Warehouse board next month.

Chairman Graham Evans says: "Rob has been a member of the board since 1996 and has served on many of the boards' committees. Rob's most significant contributions to the company have been in the area of corporate governance, financial reporting and corporate strategy, including acquisitions and divestments. He was Chairman of the Audit Committee for nearly all of his term as a director. During that time he oversaw the implementation of a number of significant changes in financial reporting and contributed significantly to the company achieving the highest standards of corporate governance. Rob's commercial and technical skills will be greatly missed."

Mr Challinor's retirement will take effect after the conclusion of the 2011 shareholder AGM on November 25.
