Canterbury charities will benefit from the auction of a new four-bedroom home built by the Avonhead Rotary Club in the Christchurch suburb of Aidanfield.
The 263m2 block and linear board home on 864m2 has been built to show home standards featuring designer fittings, three heat pumps, underfloor heating, triple garaging, and a security system.
The single-storey home in Josephine Crescent goes up for auction on November 26 through Bayleys Canterbury with all profits going directly to Avonhead Rotary Charitable Trust.
The organisation funds medical, community, and educational charities across Canterbury ranging from Women’s Refuge and the Multiple Sclerosis Society, YMCA and Barnados.
Once interest-free loans taken out by Avonhead Rotary have been repaid, excess funds will be distributed among Canterbury organisations which annually apply for funding from the trust.
The property is being sold with a 10-year new home guarantee.
