Cooks Global Foods (NZX:CGF) has signed a new master franchise agreement for Kuwait and has opened two new Esquires coffee stores there.
Previously, the Kuwait rights were included in the master franchise agreement for the Middle East.
Esquires has 14 franchised stores in the Gulf region: eight in Saudi Arabia, two in Kuwait, three in the United Arab Emirates and one in Bahrain.
Cooks says the new arrangement enables it to have a direct relationship with the Kuwait market and therefore a greater influence for capitalising on growth opportunities.
Cooks also says it’s also in advanced discussions to appoint a new master franchises in both Oman and Qatar.
