Colliers International is pleased to announce that Chris Meban will be the new Rural & Agribusiness broker for its recently opened Rotorua office.

Chris has 30 years rural experience as both a farmer and broker. He will specialise in farm sales but will also be actively involved in the sale of lifestyle estates.

“I am looking forward to a long and successful role in Colliers’ Rotorua office,” says Meban.

“My excellent market knowledge, communication skills and rural background gives me a great deal of confidence about this new move. Being able to complement my qualities with Colliers International’s strong market position and network base will prove a powerful combination.”

Chris will work closely with Colliers International’s Rural & Agribusiness agents based in both Whakatane and Napier.

Shane O’Brien, national director of Colliers’ Rural & Agribusiness division, says he is delighted to have someone of Chris’ calibre and experience join the team.

“The establishment of this Rotorua initiative is part of our continued roll out of growing Colliers’ Rural & Agribusiness brand. This is at a time that the rural market continues its strong phase – particularly with positive interest from overseas in our thriving economy,” says O’Brien.

The new Rotorua office is a joint venture with Colliers’ Tauranga franchise and is being headed up by leading Rotorua broker, Mark Rendell.

Rendell has been Bayley’s leading commercial property broker in Rotorua for several years.

“Rotorua represents part of a strategic triangle of growth and business opportunities ranging north to Hamilton and east to Tauranga that we have been keen to establish a real presence in,” says Rendell.
