Coming soon: John Key interviewed on NBR Radio

Topics to be traversed include Auckland issues and infrastructure.
Following his annual state of the nation speech at midday today, Prime Minister John Key is making time for an interview with NBR’s Rob Hosking and Andrew Patterson on NBR Radio.
As Mr Hosking noted earlier this week, 2016 is the government’s last opportunity to make some major policy moves before next year’s election, so a merely ‘aspirational’ speech isn’t going to cut it.
It’s already been well flagged that the topics the prime minister will traverse will include Auckland and infrastructure, with an announcement that the government has finally committed funding to Auckland's $2.5 billion City Rail Link also widely tipped.
The interview, which will feature close questioning from Messrs Hosking and Patterson on these issues and more, will be posted mid-afternoon.
In the meantime, you might like to take the time to vote in our poll (on right) on whether Mr Key should seek a fourth term as prime minister, an aspiration he officially confirmed several days ago.
