New Zealand Airports Association chief executive Billie Moore has accepted a new global role with aviation regulator OneReg.

The role, which will be based in New Zealand, will see her focus on government affairs, regulatory relations and public policy across all the regulator’s markets.

OneReg is the compliance and regulatory assurance platform used by airports and airlines globally.

In her current role, Moore has represented the operators of 49 airports nationwide and works closely with government, regulators and industry leaders. A former diplomat, she served as a foreign affairs, trade and political adviser to four New Zealand Ministers, as New Zealand’s Consul General to New South Wales and Queensland, and as chief advisor at the Ministry for the Environment.  She also led government relations for Tourism New Zealand.

Clinton Cardozo, chief executive and co-founder of OneReg, said Moore was one of the most respected voices in aviation and public policy in the Asia Pacific region.

"Her appointment strengthens our work with regulators as we scale internationally and build on the momentum from our recent capital raise. Billie’s experience at the intersection of government, regulation and industry will help accelerate the shift toward real-time, risk-based oversight and ensure we keep delivering technology that supports the entire aviation sector."

Moore said the role would allow her to have the greatest impact on the future of aviation.

"What drew me to OneReg is the chance to make a more direct impact; the platform is driving momentum in regulation tech in a way the sector has talked about for years.”

Moore will start her new role in August.

Her appointment follows OneReg’s oversubscribed US$4.5 million Series A round, as the company accelerates its international expansion plans and deepens its collaboration with regulators and public sector partners.
