Service Foods, one of the country's largest privately-owned and operated food distribution companies, has appointed Carolyn Mortland to the board.
Mortland has over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry specifically, holding a variety of roles at Fonterra including corporate counsel, GM Foodservice Strategy and Director of Global Sustainability.
Service Foods managing director Aneil Balar is confident Morthland will add value to the business given her wide range of experience, particularly in the areas of strategy, sustainability and people and culture as the company continues to grow.
Service Foods was founded in Christchurch in 1983 by Stan Balar and is now one of the top five food service providers in the country with 13 branches nationwide and around 600 staff.
