Chief financial officer appointed.
Heartland Group Holdings and Heartland Bank have appointed Cherise Barrie chief financial officer, subject to Reserve Bank confirmation.
Ms Barrie is a chartered accountant with financial service and executive experience, having held executive positions at Westpac New Zealand, Health Alliance NZ and Sovereign and senior roles with ANZ Bank. She was also a director on many of the subsidiary company boards of both Westpac and Sovereign.
Ms Barrie is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the Institute of Directors. She is a passionate advocate of women in business, being a member of Global Women and previously a director and treasurer for Dress for Success in Auckland.
Ms Barrie succeeds acting chief financial officer Myles Perry.
