Delta Air Lines has appointed Kelly Clive to country manager – Australia and New Zealand, from February 13, 2023. She will be responsible for leading sales efforts in Oceania as Delta strengthens its presence in Australia and launches the first-ever service to New Zealand later this year.
Clive brings more than 20 years of experience across the airline, hospitality, and tourism industries. During her 10-year tenure at Virgin Australia, Clive held key roles with increasing responsibility and successfully played pivotal roles in delivering airline partnerships, business development strategies, commercial projects, and customer account management.
“As we announced a new service between Auckland and Los Angeles starting this winter, Delta focuses more on growing the presence in the Australia and New Zealand market,” Delta managing director, international, Mike Owen said. “Her depth of knowledge and expertise in the local market will assist Delta to forge innovative partnerships and develop strong teams in the market.”
Delta launched nonstop service between Sydney and Los Angeles in 2009, becoming the first US airline to serve six continents, and will begin service between Auckland and Los Angeles on October 28, 2023, as the only US carrier to offer service on this route.
Clive holds a BA degree in tourism and sports management from Griffith University and is currently completing an MBA program at the Australian Institute of Management.
