Kensington Swan has appointed Linda Clark as a partner in the firm. Ms Clark joined Kensington Swan in 2014 as special counsel and the firm says she has played a fundamental role in the continued growth of the public law and advocacy team based in Wellington.
Before becoming a lawyer, Linda enjoyed a 20-year career in journalism. She was a well-respected political reporter, covering five elections as well as being a household name as TVNZ’s political editor throughout the 1990s and later the host of Radio New Zealand National’s Nine to Noon programme. Even during her career as a lawyer, Ms Clark has been a sought-after political commentator and election night panellist.
As a lawyer, Ms Clark has advised on many significant projects in New Zealand, acting for a wide range of public and private sector clients. She is an adviser in the regulatory and government sector, as well as working on a wide range of administrative law disputes and regulatory investigations.
