Mark Wells joins from Westpac.

Mon, 18 May 2020

Instant Finance have completed their executive organisational reshaping for the future with the appointment of Mark Wells, an internationally experienced banker, to the role of chief financial officer.

Wells joined from Westpac, where he was a senior finance manager in business banking but had previously led and been working in large teams internationally with Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse, and Citibank across New York, Tokyo, Mumbai, and London over the past 25 years.

CEO Dion Jones’ vision to increase the business capability has seen several appointments to his executive leadership team since his own appointment in June 2019.

Wells is a qualified accountant and has broad experience across finance and banking with in-depth knowledge including funding, capital adequacy, analytics, products, customer needs, and the drivers of revenue and cost, as well as forecasting and planning.

Wells said he sees the opportunities Instant Finance has in a market he has called home for the past five years and is eager to add his experience to the mix as the organisation builds its future.

“I’m incredibly excited to have joined Instant Finance ... The team is great, and I am looking forward to rolling my sleeves up and working alongside them.” Wells said.
