Tue, 31 Aug 2021

Giltrap Group has appointed Dane Fisher as chief executive of Sixt New Zealand, effective September 1, 2021.

The new role is the culmination of two decades in the automotive and mobility space and follows Fisher’s success as executive director of Sixt NZ. He actively drove the establishment of the Sixt brand in the country and introduced the New Mobility concept to New Zealanders.

“As New Zealand grows and a global pandemic is changing the way we live, work and socialise, we are introducing the concept of new mobility to New Zealanders.

“Our premium and flexible solutions are a clever alternative to traditional vehicle ownership,” Fisher said. “I am very excited to lead such a strong and dynamic team that is already proving to be a game-changer in the new ‘mobility industry and has a fantastic future ahead.”

Providing one-day to one-year mobility solutions through its rental and subscription services. Sixt also offers New Zealand’s most extensive range of premium and luxury vehicles available as a mobility service.

“The board welcomes in Dane an innovative manager and natural leader with years of strategic and operational expertise,” Giltrap Group joint managing director Richard Giltrap said.

Fisher previously led Audi New Zealand before spending close to a decade in global roles for Automobili Lamborghini based in Italy and Infiniti based in Hong Kong. His roles have ranged from commercial motorsport, corporate strategy, brand strategy, network, regional management to incubating new mobility startups.
