Hamilton Locke is growing its trans-Tasman footprint, appointing Corin Maberly as a partner in its Auckland office.
Maberly joins from Maberly & Co, the firm he founded in 2014 specialising in corporate and technology law. He brings more than 25 years’ experience to the firm, with a particular focus on government procurement, complex negotiations and transactions, and risk and stakeholder management.
Hamilton Locke Australia managing partner, and CEO and chair of HPX Group, Nick Humphrey said: “Over the past decade, Corin has built a leading telecommunications, IT, and projects practice, which is an excellent fit with our service offering to clients in both New Zealand and Australia. Having founded his own firm, he also represents the entrepreneurial, ‘go-getter’ approach that is at the heart of our business. We’re very pleased to have him in the Hamilton Locke fold.”
Maberly said: “Hamilton Locke has created a unique platform for providing legal services on both sides of the Tasman. The group … is a natural fit for me and my clients. I’m looking forward to joining this dynamic team.”
This is the latest milestone for Hamilton Locke New Zealand, which opened its first office in Auckland in January this year following the acquisition of boutique commercial law firm, Anderson Creagh Lai.
