Former TV presenter Hayley Holt has joined Speirs Finance Group as one of two new hires.
Holt left TVNZ last year, after eight years in broadcasting, to study finance. She has joined the NZ-owned asset finance specialist as northern business development manager for Yoogo Fleet, and will be responsible for customer growth from Taupō north.
Her remit includes partnering with clients to deliver customised fleet solutions, and helping them streamline their fleet operations.
The finance group has also hired Sean Coutts as commercial manager of its newly created healthcare division, which funds medical, dental and veterinary equipment.
In a statement, the company said Coutts had more than two decades of experience working with leading health technology suppliers and was known for designing tailored capital-equipment solutions that preserved cash flow while keeping practices at the cutting edge of technology.
Speirs chief executive Michelle Herlihy said the appointments came at an exciting time for the group.
"Sean's deep sector knowledge will let us deliver smarter, more flexible funding to healthcare providers nationwide, while Hayley's energy and relationship skills will lift Yoogo Fleet's presence in the North. We're delighted to welcome them both."
Founded in Palmerston North in 1964, Speirs Finance Group includes Speirs Finance, which is focused on SME and sector-specific funding, including a dedicated healthcare division. It also includes Yoogo Fleet, a nationwide vehicle-leasing and fleet-management provider founded in 2013.
