Lewis Road Creamery has appointed Ben Wheeler as its new general manager to manage the premium dairy brand’s growing New Zealand operations and its continued expansion into export markets.
Wheeler joins Lewis Road Creamery from Two Degrees, where he was GM of marketing and winner of the NZ Marketer Of The Year at the 2021 Effies Awards.
Prior to that, Wheeler was with Lion where he held senior positions in sales, marketing, operations, and management in New Zealand and overseas.
“Lewis Road Creamery is really something special to New Zealanders, I’m looking forward to growing the brand at home and also overseas where I think the recent opening of the UK market will give us great expansion opportunities,” Wheeler said.
Lewis Road Creamery is owned by ethical dairy investment fund Southern Pastures, which owns and operates 20 dairy farms in Waikato and Canterbury.
“We’re delighted to have Wheeler on board,” Southern Pastures and Lewis Road Creamery executive chair Prem Maan said.
Wheeler begins in the new role this week.
