Milford Asset Management has appointed Bowen Pan to the board of directors, effective March 3.
Pan is a highly accomplished business executive with a distinguished career building and scaling some of the world’s most influential digital platforms. His leadership experience spans Australasia and the United States, including senior roles at Meta (Facebook), Stripe, and Common Room.
At Facebook, he led the product creation and launch of Facebook Marketplace, growing it from concept to more than 800 million monthly users across 70+ countries. He later led product at Facebook Gaming, scaling it to become the world’s third-largest streaming platform.
Most recently, Pan was VP of product at Common Room, helping scale the company’s AI-powered customer intelligence platform used by go-to-market teams at leading global technology companies including Anthropic, Notion, and Atlassian.
After 13 years in Silicon Valley, Pan returned to New Zealand in 2025 and now sits on the board of NZME and is a member of the University of Auckland Business School advisory board. Through Redwood Pan Group, Bowen advises founders, executives, and boards on business and technology strategy, go-to-market execution and commercial application of AI, helping established organisations and high-growth companies turn technological change into sustained commercial advantage.
He holds an MBA from Stanford University, a Bachelor of Engineering (first class honours) and Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland, and was dux of Westlake Boys High School.
