Milford Asset Management has advised that Kady Buchanan has joined the wholesale team as head of intermediary clients.
Buchanan’s arrival further strengthens Milford’s support for independent advice on client investments. As head of intermediary clients, Buchanan is responsible for building and nurturing key relationships across Milford’s independent adviser network. Last month, Milford’s KiwiSaver scheme reached $2 billion in funds under management via the independent financial advisor (IFA) channel since its introduction in 2019.
Head of wholesale Michael Robson said: “Kady is highly regarded within the industry and will play a valuable role in supporting the advisers working with us, who are an integral part of Milford’s business.”
Buchanan brings more than 20 years of extensive experience in global institutional equity and property sales. Prior to joining Milford, her career included roles at UBS Investment Bank in New York and London, and Habitat Property in Hong Kong. Most recently, Buchanan was a senior relationship manager at Nikko Asset Management in Auckland, further expanding her expertise in client relationship management.
