MTF Finance has confirmed the re-appointment of independent director Melanie Templeton for a further term on the board.
Templeton, who first joined the board in 2020, brings extensive governance and financial services experience across both New Zealand and Australia. She currently serves as a director and chair of the Business Transformation Committee of TSB Bank, director and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for Booster Investment Management Ltd, and recently joined as director and chair of the Business Transformation Committee of the Civil Aviation Authority.
Her executive background includes senior roles with RaboDirect in Australia and New Zealand, where she served as interim group executive, general manager, and head of marketing, contributing to significant growth and digital transformation within the business.
MTF board chair Mark Darrow said Templeton’s re-appointment provides important continuity and expertise as the company builds on another year of record performance and continues to advance its multi-year business transformation programme.
“Melanie brings a valuable combination of governance discipline, financial services experience, and customer-led thinking,” said Darrow. “Her insight has been instrumental during a period where MTF has achieved record earnings, strengthened its balance sheet, and delivered major progress in transforming our technology and operational foundations.”
Templeton said she was looking forward to continuing her contribution to the company. “MTF combines a distinctive operating model with a deep commitment to doing right by its customers. I’m honoured to contribute to the next chapter of its strategy: one that strengthens the business, accelerates innovation, and enhances the way we support Kiwis to achieve their goals.”
