Primary healthcare company Tend has appointed Alexander Fala as chief financial officer.
Fala began his career at McKinsey & Company before moving into senior executive roles at several high-growth New Zealand companies, including Trade Me, Vend, and Syft Technologies.
As well as leading Tend’s financial strategy, he will oversee Tend’s acquisition programme.
James Robinson, co-CEO of Tend, said Fala’s appointment reflected the calibre of leadership required to build a long-term healthcare business in New Zealand.

Fala, who has Samoan heritage, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Auckland before studying at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.
He will take up his new role in mid-February and will be based in Auckland.
