Waitomo Energy Services Customer Trust (WESCT) has appointed Bella Takiari-Brame to The Lines Company board.
Ms Brame has strong associations with the area after spending some of her formative years in Piopio and is affiliated with Waikato-Tainui and Ngati Maniapoto.
Ms Brame comes to the role as a chartered accountant with global experience. She has worked in the oil, gas and utilities area and comes to TLC with a wealth of global market understanding and governance expertise.
“We feel incredibly fortunate that Ms Brame has agreed to join the board and we look forward to having a strong local voice at the governance table for TLC,” WESCT chair Erin Gray says.
Ms Brame is a member of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa Council, an independent member of the group audit and risk committee of Waikato Tainui, a trustee of the Māniapoto Māori Trust Board, Māngai Māori representative for the finance committee of the Hamilton City Council and was previously a member of Te Ohu Kai Moana Trustee's audit and risk committee and a director on Te Ohu’s Portfolio Management Services.
