Law firm Buddle Findlay has appointed Ed McGimpsey as a partner in its Auckland property and construction team.
McGimpsey specialises in construction, energy and infrastructure projects, acting for a range of clients including government entities and councils, sponsors, developers, contractors, subcontractors, service providers and lenders on a wide range of domestic and international projects.
He advises clients on all stages of property projects, including procurement strategy and structuring, tendering, contract drafting and negotiation, contract administration and dispute resolution.
He also has significant experience advising on project finance transactions.
McGimpsey was recognised as a rising star lawyer for project development by IFLR1000 and as a leading associate for transport by Legal 500.
Before joining Buddle Findlay, he worked for UK magic circle law firm Slaughter and May in its London infrastructure, energy and natural resources practice.
His appointment is effective from today.
