Professional services firm EY New Zealand has appointed four new partners.
They are Sona Jarosova (assurance), Matt Lambourne (strategy and transactions), Katharina Wichmann (consulting), and Anna Hawken (tax). All are internal promotions.
Jarosova started her journey with EY in the Czech Republic in 2008 and relocated to Auckland in 2011. After a brief stint in Canada in 2016, she returned to EY Auckland in 2018. With strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, she has managed complex audits, provided advisory services across Asia-Pacific, and implemented digital audit tools.
Lambourne joined EY’s New Zealand infrastructure advisory team in 2014, bringing extensive experience from equity research at global investment banks, specialising in oil and gas. His expertise in financial modelling and commercial advisory has been crucial in projects like the Christchurch Convention Centre Precinct, Auckland Prison PPP, and City Rail Link.
Wichmann has been with EY since 2009, working in Munich before joining the Auckland office in 2015. She has extensive consulting experience in business transformation, operating model design, project management, and risk and compliance across various industries.
Hawken joined EY New Zealand in 2012 and has worked in the UK and Singapore in both in-house and consulting roles. She has supported New Zealand businesses in overseas operations, offering expert guidance on legal and tax structuring, transfer pricing compliance, and project management for operating model effectiveness.
EY’s managing partner in NZ, Simon O’Connor, said the appointments reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to investing in exceptional leaders despite “ongoing market challenges” for professional services.
“These leaders have demonstrated unwavering integrity, a deep commitment to exceptional client service, and a passion for cultivating and guiding diverse teams. Their efforts have been pivotal in advancing our business and championing a culture where everyone can thrive.”
