NZ Law Ltd has announced the appointment of two new directors, Scott Donaldson of Queenstown and Bronwyn Hantz of Auckland. Their appointments were confirmed at the group’s annual meeting on October 10, 2025.
Donaldson is a director at Mactodd Lawyers in Queenstown, where he practises in commercial, property, and private client law. His clients include property developers, business owners, and investors across the South Island. In addition to his legal practice, Donaldson has ownership and governance experience in the hospitality and property sectors – expertise he said will help inform NZ Law’s ongoing focus on collaboration and member support.
Hantz is a partner at Daniel Overton Goulding, with offices in Onehunga and Pukekohe. Her practice focuses on private client and commercial law, including business structuring, contract drafting, asset planning, and property transactions. She also regularly acts for lenders in construction and private lending arrangements. Outside of her legal work, Hantz contributes to her local community as an elected parent representative on the board of an Auckland intermediate school.
NZ Law chair Shehan de Silva welcomed the new appointments: “We’re delighted to have Scott and Bronwyn join the board and look forward to the valuable perspectives and energy they will bring to NZ Law’s future.”
De Silva also acknowledged the significant contribution of retiring directors Amanda Crehan and Sam Walker, who each served six years on the board.
“Both Amanda and Sam have carried important portfolios and given generously of their time and expertise since 2019,” he said.
“Amanda was instrumental in establishing NZ Law’s IT Special Interest Group and in creating a framework to support member firms adopting new CRM systems. Sam led the staff training portfolio, dedicating considerable time to developing the career pathways of hundreds of professionals across NZ Law member firms.”
