Oyster Property Group board has announced the appointment of Jen Bunbury as an independent director, further enhancing the firm’s government and risk capabilities.
Bunbury, who is also chair of Oyster’s Audit and Risk Committee, has an extensive background in financial leadership, strategic advisory, risk, investment management, and investor relations.
She is currently a non-executive director on the My Food Bag board, an NZX Listing Sub-Committee member, and has held senior roles at Craigs Investment Partners and Tourism Holdings since returning from working in the UK.
Oyster chief executive Mark Schiele said Bunbury will bring skills and expertise to the board including proven leadership skills, deep knowledge of the fund management environment and understanding of enterprise risk. “Jen’s experience is hugely applicable to protecting and growing the interests of Oyster’s investors and capital partners.”
Oyster board of directors chair Joanna Perry added: “Prudent risk mitigation and having the agility to capitalise quickly on emerging opportunities has never been more important.”
Bunbury commented: “I’m excited to work alongside the board and Oyster’s highly experienced team to optimise the portfolio, manage emerging risks and opportunities, and modernise the property investment model to deliver enduring and accessible value to investors and capital partners.”
