Sharesies, the wealth app, has appointed Jacqueline (Jacki) Neumann as its new head of capital markets. The appointment comes as the company continues to grow its footprint in Australia, helping empower retail investors to build long-term wealth, and supporting companies to  better connect and engage with their shareholders.

Neumann brings more than 15 years’ experience advising ASX and NZX-listed companies on a range of innovative and transformative capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Sharesies, Neumann held senior roles at UBS Australia and Deutsche Bank Australia.

In her new role, Neumann will be supporting the ongoing growth of the company’s business offering (Sharesies Business) across listed and private companies, building trusted relationships with ASX-listed businesses, advisers, and ecosystem partners. She will also play a key role in positioning Sharesies as a trusted voice in retail investment and capital markets across Australia, including providing expert commentary for media and events.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jacki to the Sharesies team. Her deep experience in capital markets and her trusted relationships across corporate Australia will be a huge asset to Sharesies as we expand our business services in Australia,” Sharesies Australia country manager Wade Ranford.

Neumann said: “I’m excited to be joining Sharesies at such a pivotal time for the business, as it builds its presence further with investor audiences across Australia and New Zealand.

“I’m looking forward to building on the company’s growing momentum in the market.”

Sharesies has offices in Sydney, Auckland, and Wellington, and is a leading fintech across Australasia. The company offers access to the US, Australian, and New Zealand sharemarkets; administers employee share schemes, capital markets, and registry services for listed and private companies; and its proprietary specialist investor relations platform, Sharesies Open, helps businesses directly connect and communicate with their retail investors and employee shareholders.
