Experienced company director and manager Sinead Horgan, has been appointed as a director of Bank of China (New Zealand) Ltd and will chair the bank’s risk committee for two years, bringing a focus on governance and risk management.
Chairman of the board Chris Tremain says Ms Horgan will not only add to the board’s diversity, but the appointment means "the independent directors are now entirely from New Zealand.”
Ms Horgan says “The Bank of China (NZ) Board leverages my extensive banking career across many international markets as well as my governance career. I look forward to making a contribution to the bank as it deepens its relationship with New Zealand businesses looking to grow their connections to China.”
