David Bridgman has been appointed chair of Southern Cross Health Trust and its subsidiary, Southern Cross Healthcare Ltd.
Appointed by the Southern Cross Health Trust Board, Bridgman will replace Murray Jordan who will step down as chair on December 31, 2025 but remain as a director until March 31, 2026.
Southern Cross Health Trust and Southern Cross Healthcare chief executive Chris White said: “David’s appointment as chair will ensure a smooth transition at the board level as we continue to deliver on our vision to give New Zealanders access to timely, affordable, and quality healthcare.”
Bridgman joined the Southern Cross Health Trust and Southern Cross Healthcare boards in January 2022. A corporate finance and strategic business adviser, he is also an experienced independent director and trustee.
“I’m honoured to be appointed to the role of chair of Southern Cross Health Trust and Southern Cross Healthcare, New Zealand’s largest independent healthcare network,” he said.
