Goldman Sachs co-heads of corporate advisory in Australia and New Zealand, Nick Sims and Zac Fletcher, have announced the continued expansion of its New Zealand team with several new appointments.
They have welcomed Chamika Gajanayaka, who joins the firm as an executive director. Gajanayaka brings extensive experience from European private equity firm PAI Partners, where he spent more than four years based in London, contributing to PAI’s flagship buyout investment fund. His experience from PAI Partners, coupled with his global connectivity and prior investment banking experience in both London and Auckland, will be a significant asset to the New Zealand Goldman Sachs business.
The company has also welcomed Lennart Rath and Jack Gibson-Scarlett, who have both joined the New Zealand team in recent weeks. Rath joins as an associate from Knight Vinke, a fundamental activist investment firm based in Switzerland, while Gibson-Scarlett joins as an analyst from EY in Auckland.
These hires underscore the company's ongoing commitment to strengthening and growing its franchise in New Zealand. Under Nathan Bond’s leadership, it is well-positioned to continue building on the opportunities in the region and delivering excellence to its clients.
"We wish them every success in their new roles," said Sims and Fletcher.
