TPT Group Holdings (NZ) Ltd, a family-owned local investment company, has appointed Gary Elmes as an independent non-executive director.
Elmes is a highly accomplished digital transformation leader with nearly 40 years of experience in the technology and corporate sectors. He currently serves as the general manager digital at Port of Auckland.
In addition to his executive role, he is the board chair and a director of PortConnect and, throughout his career, Elmes has held significant senior management positions at major organisations, including Westpac New Zealand, Datacom Systems, and IBM New Zealand. His professional background is supported by a strong academic foundation, including a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Bristol and a PGDipBus in Marketing from the University of Auckland. Beyond the boardroom, Elmes is an active member of the community, serving as a Council Member for the New Zealand Pistol Association and contributing to the Firearms Community Advisory Forum for the New Zealand Police.
