Waipā Networks welcomes new board director

Electricity lines company Waipā Networks has appointed Jen Crawford to its board of directors.
Crawford is a professional director with governance experience across infrastructure, environmental management, and regional development. She currently serves on the boards of Orion New Zealand, Christchurch NZ, Nelmac, and MHV Water, and is chair of Rangitata Diversion Race Management.
With a professional background as a resource management lawyer, Crawford practised for more than two decades in New Zealand and the UK, including as a partner at Anderson Lloyd. She is a chartered fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of the International Women’s Infrastructure Network.
Board chair Jonathan Kay said Crawford's appointment strengthened the commitment of Waipā Networks to sustainable growth and regional leadership.
“Jen’s expertise in infrastructure and environmental governance, combined with her strategic insight, will be invaluable as we continue to invest in resilient, future-focused energy solutions for Waipā communities,” said Kay.

The appointment is for a three-year term.
