Natural healthcare company Comvita’s partners in China and Korea have both taken strategic stakes in the company raising $2 million.
GPE, Comvita’s master agent in China and Aju Pharm, the company’s distribution partner in Korea, have each been issued 500,000 shares at $2 each.
Comvita chairman Neil Craig said the investment from both companies cemented the relationship and ensured alignment of joint longer term interests in developing the business in both key markets.
“It also gives us the confidence to continue expanding our presence in the chiense and Korean markets through greater investment in direct retail and other supporting infrastructure,” he said.
Each company will have a 1.7% stake in Comvita.
