Consumer NZ calls for door-to-door sales change to Fair Trading Act

Consumer watch dog continues to put pressure on the government to amend the Fair Trading Act in their ‘anti door-knocking' campaign.

Consumer NZ says it has had “high demand” for its “Do Not Knock” stickers, distributing more than 150,000 this month.

Consumer chief executive Sue Chetwin told NBR earlier this month the campaign was launched to limit the tactics of "aggressive" door-to-door salespeople.
