In an online article published on April 1 NBR stated that bankruptcy proceedings had been filed against Auckland property developers Brent Gibson and Kevin Storey. We are advised that this is inaccurate.
The correct position is that proceedings have been issued to recover money from Messrs Gibson and Storey, allegedly owed to Paul Doole’s company Portland Trustee
Company limited.
Messrs Gibson and Storey have filed a statement of defence and counter claim to these proceedings.
Progress of the proceedings is to be reviewed by the High Court in June.
No judgment has been made in Mr Doole’s favour which would entitle him to
issue bankruptcy proceedings.
NBR apologises for the inaccuracies and retract those statements.
