Professional services firm Crowe Horwath has announced the appointment of Shaun McNamara to the position of Principal in its Dunedin office. At the same time, Maree McGregor is appointed as new Associate Principal of the firm. Both are long-term employees, reflecting Crowe Horwath’s commitment to retention and career development.

As a new Principal of the Dunedin office, McNamara will continue the long track record he has for the delivery of superior customer service and attention to detail which has seen him become a recognised figure in the region. A graduate of University of Otago and a certified Chartered Accountant, McNamara started his career at Crowe Horwath in 2003 and has steadily moved up the ranks through his reputation for taking a proactive approach to the delivery of practical, commercially focused business advice.
New Associate Principal McGregor is also based in the Dunedin office. She has worked as a Senior Manager on Audit and Assurance since 2013, after training as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in the United Kingdom before returning to New Zealand and joining Crowe Horwath. A member of the company’s national audit and assurance team, McGregor is also its New Zealand Risk and Compliance Leader.
Particularly proficient in financial reporting requirements including NZIFRS, McGregor complements that knowledge with diverse international experience including in the United Kingdom and Australia, and a further 12 countries across Europe and Asia. She provides ethics training internally and externally and lectures on the topic of auditing at the University of Otago.
