Dairy prices continue to rise in global auction
Volumes were down slightly and demand was up.
Prices rose for the second successive session in Fonterra’s final Global Dairy Trade auction for 2018.
The index rose 1.7% to $US2844 a tonne with the benchmark whole milk powder, which comprises half the volume sold, increasing 0.3% to $US2674/t.
