Dairy prices lifted 1.4% overnight on the latest GlobalDairyTrade auction, led by high international demand for butter and cheese.

The average winning price was $US5025 a tonne from $US4953 a tonne at the last auction on Jan 8.

While butter and cheddar surged 10.8% and 10.4%
