Dazzle Tickets, which makes it possible to manage event ticketing from start to finish, won the Telecommunications Industry Group's (TIG) inaugural Launch Pad competition.
The competition is designed to help launch this country's best new start-up business idea.
For getting top prize, Dazzle wins a range of products and services valued up to $70,000 to be used to support the business during the next 12 months.
Second place went to Life Time Health Diary, which provides a single and complete lifetime health and medical record. Its prize included a $10,000 sponsorship from the Ministry of Economic Development.
Subscription-based internet television channel Speech School TV came third, with its prize including a $5000 sponsorship from the TIG.
TIG chief executive Rob Spray, a member of the judging panel, said that Dazzle Tickets, with its scalable solution and proven model, had the potential to be a big fish in this country, and then grow internationally.
Life Time Health Diary was a big idea that had the potential to develop into a huge global business, and answered a critical social need, Mr Spray said today.
Speech School TV provided a solution to the large numbers of people globally needing to interact well in the English language.
