DDB, Colenso BBDO, indulge in 'hostage swaps'
Long-time staffer is off to Greys Ave.
It seems like DDB and Colenso BBDO are spending a lot of time swapping staff members these days.
Colenso recently nabbed DDB’s top creative team, James Tucker and Simon Vicars, so now it’s time for DDB to get their own back.
DDB has hired group account director Angela Watson, who’s been with the agency for more than five years.
Colenso BBDO managing director Nick Garrett admitted the agencies had been indulging in “hostage swaps”.
“Angela has led the Frucor team for the past five years and more recently handled the DB Export business at Colenso,” Mr Garrett said.
“She's a fantastic suit and one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of working with, she has had a huge cultural influence at Colenso and the team here are all super sorry to see her go, but we also wish her nothing but the best at DDB.”
Ms Watson has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi in her time in advertising.
She’ll switch from College Hill to Greys Ave next month.
“We'll hire a couple of limos with tinted windows and the hostage swap will happen at an undisclosed location sometime in the beginning of July.”
