ASB is pleased to announce that Mr Alden Toevs will join the board of ASB Bank Limited as a non-executive director on Monday 16 May, 2016.
Mr Toevs is an internationally recognised expert on the management of issues associated with market, credit and operational risk. He has been the Group Chief Risk Officer of the Commonwealth Bank since June 2008. Earlier this year, Mr Toevs gave notice of his intention to retire from the role at the end of the 2016 financial year. Mr Toevs will continue to work with the CBA Group for at least two years, focusing particularly on balance sheet management and quantitative analytics. He will also be a director on CBA subsidiary boards.
Mr Toevs will replace Mr David Cohen on the ASB Bank board. Mr Cohen will assume the role of CBA Group Chief Risk Officer following Mr Toevs’s retirement from the role.
Mr Cohen resigned from the ASB Bank board on Friday.
