The second woman to join SKY’s board, Ms Paterson (pictured below) has been a professional director for the past 15 years and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
She is Chair of Airways NZ Ltd, Chair of IT consultancy Theta Systems Ltd, Deputy Chair of Abano Healthcare Ltd, and a director of Goodman NZ, Housing NZ Ltd and Les Mills NZ Ltd. She is also on the board of the Electricity Authority of New Zealand.
An independent director since 1996, her previous directorships include Ports of Auckland Ltd, Transpower NZ Ltd, Auckland Regional Holdings, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority, and America’s Cup Village Ltd.
Earlier this year, Ms Paterson was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to corporate governance.
With a keen interest in sport, education and the environment, Ms Paterson is also Chair of Home of Cycling (Avantidrome) in Cambridge, and has been the Chair of Auckland Hockey, the NZ Eco-Labelling Trust and on the Board of Trustees of St. Cuthbert’s College and IANZ.
She trained and practiced as a pharmacist before completing an MBA at London Business School, after which she worked in consulting and management roles in New Zealand, the USA and Europe.
