Dollar soars - and there could be more to come

The New Zealand dollar soared to its highest level since floating in 1985 on the back of record trade figures.

This afternoon the New Zealand/US dollar cross rate breached the $US82.16 mark following the announcement of a $1.11 billion trade surplus for the month of April.
