Droga5 has signed Jason Clapperton as its planning director.

Previously of WRC/Mango New Zealand and most recently, DraftFCB Melbourne where he was planning director for several years, Mr Clapperton said he could not wait to get stuck in.

“New Zealand is my home and Droga5 is an exciting new agency to be joining“

Mr Clapperton was an entrepreneur at heart, which fitted with Droga5’s culture, business partner Andrew Stone said.

“I’ve enjoyed the discussions with Jason. I like his strategic, analytical business thinking and his passion for the role of creativity in building brands and businesses…I’m sure he will add a lot to our journey of producing radical ideas.”

Mr Stone said Mr Clapperton would be working on ASB Bank and other projects, as well as new business.

He said Droga5 had in part used some of the planners from the Sydney office previously and that this was a new role for Droga5 New Zealand.

Strategic planning had been central to Droga5’s offering from the beginning and the agency was lucky to have some of the sharpest strategic minds working for it , Droga5 Australia executive planning director/partner Sudeep Gohil said.

“Jason adds to this awesome talent pool in spades and I am really excited about him joining the fold”
