2024 will be the year of rate cuts and falling inflation, but just how many and by how fast were yet to be determined, after a hotter-than-expected rise in US inflation.
Overnight, the US consumer price index increased 0.3% in December, to reach an annual rate of 3.4%, higher than expected.
